The 2024 Mazda CX-50 is the better choice for more adventurous drivers. It offers more ground clearance, up to 8.6 inches, making it ideal for going off-road. The Mazda CX-5 offers up to 7.9 inches, which is still impressive.

When properly equipped, the Mazda CX-50 can also tow up to 3,500 lb so that you can tow larger trailers or heavier loads. While the Mazda CX-5 2,000 lb maximum towing capacity is respectable, it may be a consideration for some drivers.
